Spectacular route change at the northernmost point in Palm Beach for relay teams: the Intracoastal Waterway on one side and Palm Beach mansions and their gardens on the other, to the turn-around at exclusive Sailfish Club. Spring breakers cheering for you at the finish line and a pizza party overlooking the action from our own PALM100 balcony location. Earlier 10:00 AM start for the 50 Kilometer race. PALM100 Details

• Revised 2012 Route Maps have been posted on the race website. Study the route carefully. Teams should use the map on race day to self-crew: review the route with each runner before his/her next race segment as a reminder of any turns or unusual features. Map book copies will be distributed at the pre-race meeting.

• Required Orientation: Pre-race packet pick-up and orientation meeting for all teams (or team representative) and 100 Kilometer runners on Friday evening, beginning at 5:00 PM, at the International Swimming Hall of Fame auditorium on Seabreeze Blvd. (Southbound Route A1A) in Fort Lauderdale beach. Meetings are mandatory. Team Relay meeting begins at 6:00 PM. (It is highly recommended that all team members attend, but participation by one or more team representatives is acceptable.) Individual 100 Kilometer Race meeting begins at 7:00 PM. Note: 50 Kilometer runners are invited to pick-up their race packet and attend the 100 Km meeting at 7:00 PM on Friday, OR be at Ocean Inlet Park, the race starting location, by 9:00 AM on race morning for pick-up and orientation there. Runners or teams not attending an orientation meeting will NOT be allowed to run in the race.

• 50 Km Race Transportation to the starting line in Ocean Ridge will be provided free for runners from the finish line area in Fort Lauderdale. Bus departs at 7:45 AM.

• Local Artist and Architect Christina Lihan has created a beautiful watercolor painting exclusively for PALM100 winners. Signed prints will be awarded to all category winners at this year’s race. (Run fast: you will definitely want this limited edition art on your awards wall!)

• Party time: The post-race awards party changes venue and format this year. Beginning at 6:00 PM, we have reserved the 2nd floor balcony and party room at “EXIT66”, just a few storefronts from the finish line on A1A overlooking all the action. What a great spot to hang-out with teammates and friends, and cheer home our runners. Lounge inside or out. Pizza and first drink on the house (PALM100!)

• Massage Therapist and Stretching Expert Michael Holloway from Boca Raton, FL, will provide free massage and excellent advice to the field at the finish line at A1A and Las Olas Blvd. Michael was there to support our runners at both Peanut Island 24 and EVERGLADES ULTRAS in January. • Volunteers: We need you! Please volunteer to support the runners on race day. Go to the “Volunteer” page on the race website (www.palm100.com), click the button and choose your option from the list of jobs and times posted there. REMINDER: ALL TEAMS WITH AT LEAST ONE MEMBER LIVING WITHIN 50 MILES OF THE COURSE MUST PROVIDE A MINIMUM OF ONE VOLUNTEER FOR RACE DAY. Contact Race Director Bob Becker, if any questions.
